SmartCentric works with the Department of the Taoiseach (Irish Prime Minister’s office) on eCabinet project

In today’s world of easy access to information, the issue is often one of effectively controlling who has access and protecting important information. Nowhere is this more important than in Government.

SmartCentric Technologies International Ltd (SmartCentric) today announced that it currently working with the Department of the Taoiseach (Irish Prime Minister’s office) and others, including Fujitsu Services and In.vision, on Phase 2 of the eCabinet project which will take the system to the Cabinet itself. Specifically SmartCentric will deliver their SmartCity® Biometric Authentication Solution to provide the highest level of secure access to confidential documentation.

The SmartCity® Biometric Authentication Solution is part of SmartCentric’s multi-application solution.  It is used to augment an existing content management server or website to provide client side biometric authentication using a SmartCity® smart card. It can co-exist with any other authentication required by the content management system.
