SmartCentric Technologies International Ltd (SmartCentric) is a specialist technology company focused on secure access and secure transactions. SmartCentric was established in January 2003 as a result of the acquisition of the Smart Card and Security group, specifically the SmartCity® business, from Fujitsu Services Ltd.

 With the acquisition of the Smart Card Division from Fujitsu Services, SmartCentric acquired the SmartCity® team; providing a highly skilled team in Dublin, unique in its experience and range of skills. The same core members of the team have been in place for almost five years, a remarkable achievement in the IT marketplace today, and provides an extremely wide range of capabilities, knowledge and on the job expertise.

SmartCentric’s flagship product, SmartCity® was originally developed by the SmartCentric team in the early 1990’s. The first SmartCity® system was installed in 1994 and since then over 90 installations on 5 continents have issued over 5 million SmartCity® cards.
